First off I want to thank Neil and Jon who run Activison's PR firm for including me in this first class event held atop the Clift Hotel in San Francisco. Awesome food, open bar, bang'n DJ and kickass games were all on hand.

   Activison was showing 2 of their upcoming titles, X-Men Legends II for Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, PC & PSP, and Ultimate Spider-Man for Xbox, PS2, Gamecube & Nintendo DS. They knew the turn out was going to be large so they allowed me and some other gaming journalist who had not yet seen the games in a bit early for this hands-on event. In one room they were demoing X-Men on 8 LG 16X9 LCD flat panel displays. All were running Xbox's and they also had a PS2 and a Gamecube hooked up. I will have a preview up next week for X-Men. All I will say for now is 'sweeeeet'.

  In another room they were showing Spider-Man on 8 Sony 4X3 direct view TV's. 6 got Xbox's and the other 2 getting a PS2 and Gamecube. At different times throughout the nigh,t video interviews were being held with spideys producer, Jonathan Zamkoff. Look for an Ultimate Spider-Man Preview to follow shortly.

  The final space housed a few PC rigs running X-Men, Nintendo DS's with Spider-Man and a few PSP's with X-Men. Lots of guys from the various development teams were on hand to show us the ropes and answer any of our questions. I really did enjoy the opportunity to be able to talk with them about their games but as always, time flew by way to fast and I before I new it the evening was over.
