We imagine everyone is still basking in the glow of the recently announced estimated release date for the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament 3, but we've got one more tidbit of exciting news for ya.

During the unveiling of UT3 for the Xbox 360 in Las Vegas last week, Epic Games' Mark Rein has said there will be a hidden reference to Gears of War 2 in UT3! Due out this summer, Rein added that the highly anticipated sequel is "a much better game than the original," but he remained mostly quiet on any new gameplay or graphical features. But here's the quote that has kicked off plenty of debate and speculation:

"The game (Gears 2) is spectacularly good," he told VideoGamer.com. "I'm not committing to any features. In the mean time, buy UT3. There might be a surprise in UT3 that's Gears related. Just saying. In the 360 version. You'll have to buy the game and find out."

Rein received many more questions regarding GeoW2, but his only response was, "there's lots still to be said about the game and that's all I'm going to say." So now, the real question is: what's this hidden reference in UT3? Is it going to be significant enough for everyone to notice? We figure it will be, and we can't to find out what it is... Any and all early info on GeoW2 is much appreciated, that's for darn sure.
