Mass Effect

It's always scary when the retailer pushes a release date back, because you can never be sure just how accurate their information is. However, it appears one of the biggest Xbox 360 titles of the year, Mass Effect, has been delayed. GAME, the biggest videogame retailer in the UK, has pushed back their release date for this highly anticipated RPG to January 2008.

Before this occurrence, the game was expected out in two months time, but rumors continued to abound. Everyone was hearing different things, and most questioned if they'd release the title in September opposite Halo 3. Of course, we do have to entertain the obvious possibility: perhaps it's only delayed in Europe, and Mass Effect is still scheduled for a late summer release in the U.S.

We're not sure what the deal is, but GAME has definitely changed the release date to next year. Whether that's accurate or not...well, it's not official, but it might be true.
