EA Considers Road Rash Return

Ah, the good ol' days. The days of pixelated action combined with straightforward, simplistic, yet still addictive gameplay. You gaming vets will probably recognize the name Road Rash, a game series that started all the way back on the 16-bit Sega Genesis. Basically, you ride around on motorcycles and beat the snot out of your opponents...literally.
These early games were always a lot of fun, so we're excited to hear that EA may be considering a triumphant return for the high-octane franchise. According to GameDaily, EA CEO John Riccitiello has revealed that Road Rash "remains very much on the company's collective mind." Obviously, we're not talking about a confirmation, but evidently, the project is a real possibility for the future.
"We think about [our old] franchises a lot. Road Rash is one that keeps coming up in brainstorming sessions," he said.
Yeah, we'd bring it up if we were in those meetings, too. We definitely want a next-gen Road Rash, because while we do have plenty of racers, and even a few that let you do battle with other cars, we don't have a one that boasts motorcycle riders with baseball bats. And that's exactly what we're hoping for. Bring it back, EA!
