BioWare Talks Mass Effect Lesbian Scene, Future Sequels

We've got some news from the world of Mass Effect, thanks to a recent interview BioWare's Senior Manager, Matt Atwood gave to GameSpot.
First up, he talked about the possibility of lesbian love in the game, which could be secured if one chose to play as a female alien and strike up a romantic relationship with another female alien. In response to all the criticism this has incited, Atwood said he found this to be a "little unfair."
"The interesting thing about Liara [the mono-gendered blue alien in question] is that in her species what they do is they join their minds and their minds become one," he said.
Well, what do anti-game activists know about joining minds? They don't have minds to begin with! Heh...okay, moving on. Atwood also spoke briefly about sequels in the franchise, and while he didn't specify any platforms - rumors about Mass Effect coming to the PlayStation 3 are circulating - he did say we can expect Mass Effect 2 "soon, but not too soon." You'll have to interpret that for yourselves, but at the very least, we know the team's working on it. Furthermore, we can always play through the original again in the meantime, right?
